it should be embarrassing, but i have no shame, so i find it funny.
it is how i feel right now: CONFIDENT
last semester, anna taught me to play 'leaving on a jet plane' on the guitar. i told her i was going to play it when she was at the airport leaving for london. however, that didn't happen. one - she left from las vegas, and two - i don't really remember how to play it. it's a shame.
now i am leaving to washington d.c. and i am really wishing that i had my own john denver to sing to me.
the next five days will be very busy and very fun; filled with many firsts:
. . . my first overnight trip with byu
. . . my first trip to the nation's capital
. . . my first national health conference
. . . my first tour of the capital building
. . . my first visit to the holocaust musem
. . . my first meeting with senators, congressman and their health staffers
. . . my first tour of the department of health and human services
. . . my first visit to the smithsonian
. . . my first view of the white house
. . . my first outing to the biggest library in the united states
. . . my first encounter with war memorials
. . . my first exposure to chinatown
. . . my first tour of the jefferson, washington and lincoln monuments
. . . and many more

ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the boys, they are (almost) as cute as our babies. You must miss them so much...but just remember, Aubrey will take a babysitter anytime you feel the urge or need to be with little boys.
Have a Great Trip.
What a neat experience you get to have. Like my mom, I am also jealous...I need a trip to get away! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteTell Michelle hi for me. We haven't really talked since we hung out in DC. But I am sure we will hit up J. Crew soon.
ReplyDeleteBe safe. Hopefully there won't be a 4 year old child directing your flight.
