how?
i'm not really sure. it must be the 'prayers of the righteous' that are constantly being offered on my behalf. and by 'righteous' i mean my parents. every day when i talk to them, they constantly ask how i am doing and what is on my mind. they are genuinely interested in my school, work, social and day-to-day life. when i was younger, it was a bother; but now i feel it has grown into a necessity. it's nice to know that they consistently looking out for me. it is refreshing.

i haven't blogged in a really long time. those of you that are devout blog followers, know that two weeks is an eternity when someone hasn't updated. every night before i go to bed, i check anywhere from fifteen to thirty blogs hoping that there are new updates with new pictures and new "news." if the page loads and there is nothing new, i usually complain. what can i say? my pessimism really shows late at night.
i know that many, if not all of you, feel the same way. i apologize (1) for the countless times that you have visited this blog and not found anything new and (2) for the lack of pictures that are not found. my brother says he only comes to look at pictures, so hopefully he will be pleased after this post.
currently it is 6:53 PM and i am sitting at my work computer talking to random individuals, spreading skippy peanut butter onto ritz crackers, facebook stalking, sweating and of course, typing this post. multi-tasking is one thing i do well. i can't wait until 8:00 when i can go home and watch the olympics for the thirteenth straight day. bob costas and i have become pretty good friends. when the games are over, i'll have to resort to spending time with real people. i'm dreading that.
a little recap.
for the second straight year, i was in pocatello for valentine's day.
due to lack of companionship in provo, i resorted to traveling home for the three day weekend. (even though three whole days in provo sulking in my own misery and depressing life did sound like a lot of fun).
i spent the weekend the best way a 23-year-old single man could: with his parents. friday night, we ate homemade tacos with heidi and traveled to see our favorite relatives in pocatello. tami, aubrey and whitney always seem to be together, so we always make it a priority to see all of them, especially their kids. since my nephews are so far away, we have resort to the next best thing. andee, beck, dawson and paxton are almost as cute dallen and kally's kids. almost. they were so funny and wouldn't stop wrestling, laughing, dancing and of course fighting. every time we are with them, we wish that jaxon, austin and lincoln lived closer. it is a little depressing.

we made our weekly costco run, this time stocking up on food for me. we moved furniture at grandpa hardings and then went out to eat for valentine's day. i owe it to my parents, because they could've left me home and had a romantic night to themselves. but they decided to drag me along, and i couldn't be more grateful.
later that night, i pulled out the skinny jeans, suspenders, sweatbands, jersey and converse, for a valentine 80's party with kris. she is the only friend i see when i go home, so it was fun to get out and do something. even if that meant acting like a fool and dying our hair pink.

elder perry from the quorum of the twelve apostles was present at our sacrament meeting on sunday. he had been in town for some training, and decided to come to my parent's home ward. elder hammond, the area seventy, and elder perry took up the entire time, focusing on member missionary work. it was an experience that i will never forget. how often does an apostle randomly come to your home ward? almost never; and i was lucky enough to be in attendance.
overall, valentine's weekend was a success. the next time i see my family, it will be at my graduation in less than two months. to tell you the truth, i haven't had a chance to actually sit down and think that this is happening. school has kept me constantly entertained, but april 22 is approaching faster than it ever has and i don't know if i am ready to be a graduate. more about that later.
heather has made it home. i have talked to her a couple times and she is the same old heather that we have all come to love and appreciate. we can't wait until she makes her way up from sunny arizona to visit over general conference weekend.
the rest of the pictures have been taken sometime during the past two weeks. some with work friends, some with roommates, and some with old friends.
i hope they make up for the lack of posts.

just for the record... there are more of you following me than i had originally thought. A LOT (as in 100s) more.
seriously. thanks.

cheers.
