Haiti

this past week and a half i have immersed myself in cnn and their coverage of the haitian earthquake.

it is overwhelming.



the images are devastating.
the destruction is catastrophic.
the capital is in ruins.
children are without their parents.
neighbors are burying their friends.
strangers are burning bodies in the streets.
thousands are dead.
at least a million are homeless.
they need food. water. shelter. love.

what are you doing to help? need ideas?

give blood. send a text. give extra fast offerings. donate money. pray.

i watched the telethon friday night in awe at the global response.
58 million dollars were raised (a fraction of funds needed to rebuild an entire nation).

i'm posting my favorite performance of the night.

as this disaster continues to dominate the news, try not to complain that this is all that is being reported.
i promise this is more important than a republican senate win in massachusetts or american idol auditions.
