On Saturday, I had an exhausting day. In the morning, I went to D.I. and picked out the outfits that we would wear for halloween this year. I had decided that I was going to be Sonny Bono and my friend Brandice was going to be Cher. It was a great idea and we found amazing things to complete our outfit for the next weekend. We went to lunch and then headed to the BYU/UCLA football game. BYU won, but not without a lot of pressure from the opposing team. I came home and slept and then headed up to Salt Lake that same night. My roommate Billy works for Nu Skin and they were having their annual convention at the Salt Palace. To end things with a bang, they invited the band Goo Goo Dolls to perform. Billy had gotten me some extra tickets and three of the students that work at the MTC Bookstore with me also had tickets. So my friend Daphne and I headed up to Salt Lake for the concert and we met my freshman co-workers for the show. Goo Goo Dolls were amazing. They were always a favorite band of mine in high school, especially because Brock would always play and sing their famous songs. They were engraved into my mind, and I was so happy when they played all their famous songs: IRIS, BLACK BALLOON, SLIDE, BETTER DAYS, GIVE A LITTLE BIT, BROADWAY, ETC. We jammed until they left the stage and headed home, stopping to eat at Crown Burger in Murray.
Sunday, I slept in and went to church. I finally got my calling. Can you believe it? After so long. No it is not the ward pianist, choir pianist, or part of the music committee, thankfully!! I was called as the Ward Mission Leader, and I am very excited. After church Cole and I headed over to Brian's girlfriends apartment for dinner. Brian had come down for the weekend to stay with us and visit Whitney and they invited us over for chicken enchiladas. They were amazing and we were very grateful to take part of the meal. After dinner, we had a stake priesthood meeting and every single person on our row was asleep. It was so great that I just had to take a picture.
