Widgets, Enchiladas, Walks, Ice Cream, Movies, Naps, Shepherd Pie, and a whole bunch of laughs made this past weekend an adventure! About a month ago, we were all together talking about going on a road trip and doing something to forget about school for a weekend. We suggested many things, but the same idea kept popping up...why don't we just go to idaho?! All of us decided that it was a good plan, and so I began inviting everyone. Because of late notice and scheduling conflicts, only Spencer, Kimbre and Heather were able to make the trip. We left Friday evening and returned home Sunday night. The trip was just what we wanted it to be. Laid-back and spontaneous. We watched 5 movies (8 Seconds, Freedom Writers, Stomp the Yard, Enchanted and On Our Own), ate tons of Patty's goodness, played games, and went to church. The worries and stresses of life, work and school were put on hold, and I loved bringing my friends home! I haven't laughed so hard for that long in a really really long time! Spencer, Heather and Kimbre are hilarious and the whole time, we were dreading coming back to Happy Valley. Everyday this week, they have texted me telling me how they are going through withdrawls not seeing each other and how they've all been at the gym working off the weight they gained from "real food." Though short, the weekend was eventful and memorable.
