Halloween! Aargh!

When you work two jobs totaling over fifty hours a week, you don't really have time to meet a lot of new people. And usually the ones you do meet do not fit into your 'mormon standards.' So your social options are somewhat limited to 1 - being alone, 2 - resorting back to old territory, or 3 - feeling out of place.

Case in point: Halloween.

It was on a Saturday this year and since I had the day off, I chose to travel to Provo rather than go out to the bar with my sketchy co-workers in Salt Lake or sit at home with my roommate. The choice was black or white.

Being in Provo was perfect. It was just like old times. Cookie cutter dance parties at Orem Institute and Alpine Village. Provo scene house parties at Condo Row, Belmont, and random houses south of campus.

Every year it's the same. And every year I am thankful to spend it with the best that Provo has to offer.

In case you were wondering, I am a pirate.

Quotes of the weekend: which we shall leave nameless.

"We are dressed up as a car wreck waiting to happen."

"Where the hell is Heather? I mean where in the terrestrial kingdom is Heather?"

"I don't want to date her. She is 31. And there is only a small window of fertilization."
