Stay Classy San Diego

With In-N-Out, the Last Lecture on cd, and numerous summer playlists as are our copilots, Billy and I started our ten hour drive to California. The only stop we made was for gas in Las Vegas (which brought a lot more memories than I would have wished). As we approached Poway, I called Kimbre asking for directions to her house. Of course she didn't answer her phone in time, and even when she called back, it was a maze trying to backtrack our way through side streets to her neighborhood. I gave up and turned our attention to our trusty smart phones - and glory hallelujah - we found her place within the half hour. Praise be given to the inventor of google maps, because I don't think we would have found Cumberland Drive if we didn't have it. Billy dropped me off and headed to Caitlin's for the days leading up to the wedding.

I stayed with Kimbre and her family the entire week. No word less than amazing would I use to describe my time spent with her. We have been everything from friends and enemies to everything in between over the past three years, and she is probably the only person, besides family that I go to for advice. She is that good.

Earlier in the summer we had tentatively discussed what we wanted to do while I was there. It turned out that I got to do every single thing that we had decided.

- Fish tacos at Rubios
- Del Mar beach with Heather
- Golden Spoon
- H & M
- Temple and sealing with Stephen/Megan
- La Jolla with Nicole
- Drive along the coast
- Authentic Mexican food
- Balboa Park
- Downtown San Diego
- Star watching
- Movies
- Padres game with Billy/Caitlin
- Wedding reception
- San Diego harbor
- And much much more

Rather than go into detail about every single one of these, I will let the pictures do the talking.

Sorry for the picture overload. These are only about half of the ones that we took.

After an emotionally and physically demanding summer, this trip was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Thanks for getting married Billy and Caitiln. It was about time!
Nicole, thanks for the day in La Jolla. "I love myself and I hate myself." Still laughing.
And a special thanks to Kimbre and Shanna for the hospitality.
