Road Trip

When I was a freshman in college, I watched a television show called 'The O.C.' I am pretty sure that most people watched it as it was the "trendy" thing to do at the time. I never was able to finish the season or following ones because I left on my mission. Then two months ago I realized that Stephen and Billy both watched the show at the same time before they left on their missions. The idea popped into our heads that we would find someone who owned the seasons on DVD and watch them, as well as the episodes that they would replay in syndication every day at five o'clock. We started and became hooked once again. As the semester was drawing to an end, another idea popped into our heads... lets travel to California. Last week that idea became a reality as Stephen, Billy, Cole and I drove down to sunny California. We left bright and early thursday morning listening to Phantom Planet's theme "California Here We Come." We arrived late that afternoon in good old Brea California, home to Stephen and Billy. We stayed at Stephen's house and spent the next three days meeting friends at Disneyland, California Adventure, Newport Beach, Newport Beach Temple, Fashion Island, and the Spectrum. It was blissful knowing that we were carefree without the burdens of school, finals and work. It was a fantastic way to end an amazing school year and start our summer vacation.
