Busy for a Break
When life is busy, and I want a break, I realize... it only gets worse! All college students know that there are certain weeks throughout the semester where your life is basically contracted to your professors. Well these past ten days have been part of one of those weeks. As I was thinking about what I could write about, the only thing that comes to mind is school. One five page research paper, one four page environmental brief, one three page explanation of the role of ethics and pregnancy, two online quizzes, three one page abstracts of public health education, one in-class assignment, two trips to the testing center for midterms, and one group presentation on health care reform. I also had one trip to drug court to observe substance abusers, an amazing EFY interview for this summer, a cleaning check from our landlord, a well-prepared and given talk in church, and 35 hours of work. All in the past ten days! Like I said, when life is hectic, it only gets worse. I may sound as if I am complaining, and I probably am. However, I am writing this to say that I am done. Everything went better than I could have ever imagined, and I believe that someone must be looking out for me and keeping me sane in the midst of all this craziness. I am ready for a break and I can't wait for the weekend when I will be heading home for the holiday.

ReplyDeletehey garrett! are you taking substance abuse and addictive behaviors? If so, I LOVED that class. It was completely eye-opening. you taking it from the Dean? I'll stop talking about it just in case you aren't taking it. Sounds like you are busy. Hang in there and have a fun trip to Idaho!
