I am thankful! Over thanksgiving break, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend many days with my amazing family. I arrived home late Monday night and spent the whole entire week doing activities with members of my family. My dad arrived home after being away for two months in Florida and we were all very anxious to see him. We missed him and are very relieved that he won't have to spend two months away from my mom ever again! The highland girl's basketball games, the grocery shopping with my mom, the dinner with grandma and grandpa, the shopping, the time spent reading my book, and thanksgiving dinner were all joyous occasions. I love the holidays and I am thankful for the family traditions that we share annually. This year we were able to volunteer at the Festival of Trees as a service opportunity. We helped set up the trees and other miscellaneous decorations on Saturday. It was a memorable experience. Since this is my thanksgiving post, I just want to list a few things that I am grateful for in my life. 1 - Good health (which I become more and more appreciative of as I progress in my major at school) 2 - Books (they are my favorite things and pastime) 3 - Supportive Parents (who always know the right thing to say and who always call just to say hi) 4 - Restored Gospel (because without it, I would be lost and my life would have no direction) 5 - Considerate Friends (who listen, laugh, care and never judge) 6 - Prayer (it changes things and I always am amazed how it somehow makes everything seem ok) 7 - Holidays (that bring the strangers, friends and family together to make memories and to build traditions) 8 - Siblings (that do not live near, but are always close in heart and mind) 9 - School (because it opens my mind and enhances my brain) 10 - Nephews (who brighten my day with phone calls, pictures and laughs)
