As most of you know, last year I worked for a global network marketing company located here in Provo. Synergy hired me last August and I worked there part-time until April when I started full-time until the end of June. Because of a very busy and exciting summer, I had to leave my job and my amazing co-workers. When I left, I was told I would most likely get my employment back if I desired. Well, I got back to Provo a couple weeks ago and have been contacting Synergy to see if they would re-hire me back for this year. I gave them my class schedule and they informed me that they would let me know. To make a long story short, I haven't received any official news of my re-hirement. They are still in the process of letting me know (because they have been busy with worldwide convention, corporate executive issues, and office relocation). So I"m just waiting! Yet, I can't wait around forever and I decided I would get a job in the meantime. Last Friday I interviewed for a position at the MTC and they notified on Monday that I had gotten the job. No I will not be teaching, but will be working in the MTC Bookstore (you know the little deseret book type store for missionaries in the MTC) serving the anxious missionaries. I did a little bit of training this week and I really enjoyed it. The job is very easy and it is great to see and talk with each Elder/Sister about where they are serving, where they're from and what their experience is like. The best part about the job is the 20% discount I receive there and at the BYU Bookstore on campus. My co-workers are great and it seems like it should be a great part-time job. I am very sad about the situation with Synergy and if they do decide to hire me back on, I will return because of the difference in pay and awesome benefits of that job. But for right now you can find me at one of my favorite places in Provo.

  1. We want you back! I'm so annoyed they haven't gotten back to you...not cool! If it were up to all of us you would be back in a spilt second! I'm glad you found a job at the MTC though, I am still crossing my fingers they will hire you!
